You describe the problem. Plain words are fine. What's happening, which fixtures, how long it's been going on.
I tell you what I think it is and what it's likely to cost. Sometimes that's "try this first, call me if it doesn't work."
We pick a time. I'll give you an actual time, not a four-hour window.

These are the hours I answer the phone and book appointments. I don't offer overnight call-outs — I'd rather tell you that plainly than not answer at eleven at night.
